Ian Rankin is a fully experienced guitarist and teacher, (qualified at the London Guildhall School of Music). He is proficient and knowledgeable in rock, jazz and classical guitar and teaches these styles at all levels. Ian Rankin teaches guitar in Exeter, the areas covered in the lessons include; the development of technique, studying the repertoire, improvisation materials (including and applying different scale types) and styles, aural skills, harmony and composition, general musicianship and developing a structured practice strategy. Students can choose enter graded music exams up to and including diploma standard. |
